Populous was selected to design the Booth Family Hall of Athletics and fan amenity upgrades to Allen Fieldhouse. The Hall of Athletics features exhibits commemorating every intercollegiate sport ever played at the University of Kansas as well as the all the athletes who participated. The expansion preserves the historic integrity of Allen Fieldhouse while providing a new exhibit hall that blends with the existing architecture.
As part of the project Populous made the historic Allen Fieldhouse more fan friendly. Improvements included seating restoration, exterior window replacements, ventilation system upgrades, and life safety system improvements.
